WATCH: Serco’s Dave Dacquino Challenges Peers to Hire Vets through DOL’s Apprenticeship Pilot Program

AZAmanda Ziadeh|1 min read|December 3, 2020

WashingtonExec’s Amanda Ziadeh catches up with Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco, to hear about why and how he’s challenging his peers in industry to get involved with a new veteran-hiring initiative through the Labor Department’s Apprenticeship Pilot Program. The program helps transitioning veterans with joining the civilian workforce, and Dacquino is excited about its potential. The program is up and running at eight military installations, and the goal is to have 400 apprenticeships across those eight locations and then to expand it to all military facilities.

So far, more than 120 companies are participating by providing apprenticeships, and Dacquino is eager to see that number grow. If interested in the DOL program, contact the apprenticeship pilot team at VETSapprenticeship@dol.gov or Michael.H.Anderson@serco-na.com.
