Julian Setian has been the President and CEO of SOS International LLC (SOSi) a large, private, family-owned and operated government services integrator that works principally in the defense and intelligence sectors for more 15 years.
With more than 25 years in business, this mission support contractor was initially founded to provide language translation services to federal law enforcement, but has successfully diversified under Setian’s leadership into a range of businesses including base operation, logistics, imagery science and cyber analytics supporting the national security community. The company currently houses and feeds 3,000 U.S. military and civilian personnel in Iraq and supports some of the nation’s most complex ISR missions.
SOSi has never held a small business set-aside contract, is a 98 percent prime contractor, and touts more than 30 percent compounded annual growth for the past 13 years. In the last two years alone, SOSi has booked more than $600 million of new business and grew more than 40 percent annually during a time when overall U.S. defense spending has decreased. SOSi is becoming one of the fastest growing mid-tier contractors and an emerging large business leader in GovCon service integration, intelligence and logistics.
Reason to watch: Setian just completed his first acquisition of ISR contractor, New World Solutions, and plans to acquire more. SOSi is among the fastest growing prime contract integrators in the GovCon community, and will likely emerge as a prime contractor on many of the large, well-known contract vehicles.
