Carl Ghattas

Senior Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton

Carl Ghattas’ experience as a former FBI field agent has equipped him with a profound understanding of the missions his clients face at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Federal law enforcement is grappling with an overwhelming amount of information obtained from threat reporting and various databases, all while having limited time to analyze it and respond to threats to border security, trade, travel and to the American public.

Ghattas and his team assist agents and officers in the field and at headquarters in filtering out the noise to focus on what matters. Their mission is to ensure federal law enforcement has the necessary technology and information at its fingertips to make swift, informed decisions.

The solution often starts with a question: What technology is right for the job?

“It might be AI, it might be 5G, quantum, data analytics or all of the above,” Ghattas said. “We look for the specific tools that work within a team’s budget, operating environment and other constraints and that fit the mission.”

Why Watch

Throughout his career in the FBI, Ghattas traveled to over 60 countries, gaining valuable insights from the diverse experiences, people and cultures he encountered. This rich background, he said, informs every conversation he has and shapes his approach to the mission.

“Regardless of what you do in life, you should have a deeply rooted passion for that endeavor. For me, that passion is national security,” Ghattas said. “My team’s job is to not only safeguard innovation but also maintain the confidence and pride of the American people. Every day, we appreciate this unique opportunity to partner with clients while serving the good of the nation.”

Ghattas said he’s most proud of the relationships and trust his team have built up over the years — something his colleagues at Booz Allen affirm.

“Carl’s leadership has been pivotal in our law enforcement business at Booz Allen,” said Bryce Pippert, executive vice president in Booz Allen’s civilian services business. “He has cultivated a team with extensive experience who truly understands the missions our clients are tackling every day,” says Bryce Pippert, Executive Vice President in Booz Allen’s Civilian Services business. “This deep knowledge allows the team to tailor solutions to meet the client’s unique needs, ensuring we provide not just the technology but the framework and governance for implementing it.”
