Stephanie Ambrose

Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Koniag Government Services

Stephanie Ambrose led the launch of KGS’ rebrand earlier this year, driven by the company’s rapid growth—a 230% revenue increase and 300% jump in personnel since 2019. Her team created a new website to connect with customers, prospects, job seekers, employees and shareholders. The rebrand reflects KGS’s values: exceptional people, innovative solutions and a strong community commitment. Since the launch, traffic to www.koniag-gs.com has surged.

“This unprecedented success is a testament to our talented and passionate staff,” said KGS CEO Kevin Wideman. “The new website cohesively tells the KGS story, updates our visual brand, and shares our mission. Stephanie and her team did an outstanding job gathering and presenting information that not only tells the Alutiiq story but also showcases how KGS supports our community, serves our customers, and provides insight into life at KGS, demonstrating why this is such an exceptional company.”

Why Watch

In 2024, Ambrose’s team focused on redesigning KGS’ intranet portal to improve internal communications, document management, collaboration and employee engagement. While the current portal is functional, it’s difficult to navigate, making it hard for employees to find what they need. The new design prioritizes user experience, ensuring easy access to frequently requested information and aligning with how employees want to use the site.

Looking ahead, the Jesse Itzler quote, “You didn’t come this far to only come this far,” especially resonates with Ambrose, reminding her that no matter how challenging or stressful things may become, you’ve made it this far and are capable of overcoming obstacles and achieving much more.

Fun fact: Last year, Ambrose and her husband moved into a new house they built in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each morning, she wakes up to stunning mountain views. They’ve even had black bear visitors on the property, including one bold bear that ventured onto their deck to enjoy the scenery.
