Jenn Henriques

Chief People Officer, Aleut Federal

Aleut Federal successfully implemented “people first” initiatives tailored to its employees’ diverse job functions, skillsets, backgrounds and focus areas, said Jenn Henriques. This effort included the rollout of a new human resources information system, the introduction of a comprehensive employee career model and the enhancement of the performance management program.

The Aleut Federal People team is driving rapid organizational growth while fostering collaboration across the company’s diverse business lines. Ensuring employees at every level understand the company’s unwavering commitment to their success is a top priority.

“At Aleut Federal, our employees are the cornerstone of our company’s success,” Henriques said. “As the leader of the People organization, my team is dedicated to enhancing our employees’ experience, ensuring it is the best it can be. To deliver top-notch customer service to our clients, the Aleut Federal People team must provide the same level of exemplary service to our internal clients, our employees. True leadership is not about being in charge, but about taking care of those in your charge. A people-centered approach fosters trust, collaboration and innovation. When people grow, so does the organization.”

Why Watch

A team approach focused on employee growth and development centers on continuous learning opportunities, career development programs and strong performance management systems. By investing in professional development, the team aims to improve skills, boost job satisfaction and improve retention rates.

“It’s rare in our industry to have the opportunity to build an enterprise from scratch,” said Aleut Federal President Nick Trzcinski. “Since Aleut Federal is a new enterprise, built for scale, Jenn had the opportunity to create and lead a People team newly constituted, and newly empowered. She led us through implementations of all key People systems, a brand new HRIS, and put in place every People related policy needed for our enterprise to function. Can you imagine? We would not be in the excellent position we are in today without Jenn’s skill and leadership. Way to go Jenn!”

Fun fact: Henriques’ family loves rescuing dogs from local shelters and found that rescue dogs bring immense love and appreciation to their new family. They are now on their sixth rescue, the youngest one they have adopted so far.
