Joan Bishop and her team increased HighPoint’s pipeline with over $500 million in potential opportunities and leveraged a long-term partner relationship to secure a place on the Department of Veterans Affairs’ VHA Integrated Health Transformation indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. They also passed their ISO audit in the last year.
In her short time with the company, Bishop made a significant impact on the business and the team, and brings out the best in everyone on her team, said Ben Lanius, HighPoint CEO.

On a personal note, seeing her middle daughter Beri — who is on the autism spectrum — graduate from college was monumental, Bishop said.
“As a working mother, it has been a challenge to balance work and personal life, so when a milestone like this occurs, it’s time to celebrate!” she added.

In 2022, Bishop and her team are heavily focused on meeting health care transformation requirements in the federal health sector with HighPoint’s honed capabilities and past performance.
Additionally, Bishop is beginning her role as president of HIMSS National Capital Area chapter in July, and looks forward to continuing her focus on key health IT challenges within her HighPoint role and as part of the larger health care IT community.
