Top Execs to Watch in 2024: LMI’s Doug Wagoner

Doug Wagoner, LMI

Doug Wagoner

CEO, LMI

Last year was a remarkable period of growth and serves as evidence of the innovative solutions LMI provides its customers, according to Doug Wagoner. LMI’s methodical approach is transforming how government leaders manage operations, from initial definition through design and implementation. This guarantees customized solutions that perfectly match organizational goals.

In a rapidly changing world filled with complex challenges, LMI is prepared to offer state-of-the-art solutions. LMI’s unique strategy resulted in a historic $1.2 billion in contract awards at LMI last year. This achievement belongs not to Wagoner, he said, but to all 2,500 employees working together to deliver at the New Speed of Possible.

Why Watch

Wagoner said LMI is on a mission to redefine the customer experience, staying one step ahead, anticipating future needs and delivering Innovation at the Pace of Need. The company’s refreshed brand shows its passion in every project, changing not just the game, but how solutions are delivered to customers.

A key example is LMI’s AI solution. Last year, The Forge, LMI’s tech studio, developed a new method for Large Language Models, leading to the launch of the LIGER AI tool suite in June. Soon after, new customers started using this innovative tool.

“My entire career has been in government technology, and I see it as a privilege to be in this industry,” Wagoner said. “Sometimes we can get too focused on the minutia, frustrations and demands of the day. I ask that we all stand back and reflect how privileged we are to serve the men and women who dedicate their careers and lives to public service, to improve our national security and the human condition while working with always evolving cool technology.”

Fun Fact: Wagoner is a self-proclaimed “huge space nerd and owns two meteorites, with plans to buy more.” “Think about it, you can hold something in your hand that is not only older than anything on or below Earth, but it’s not from Earth,” he said. “I find that cool and I am a proud nerd.”
