Ed Barker
Vice President, Strategic Account Executive for Defense & Intelligence, Parsons Corp.
Ed Barker’s biggest recent achievement was building and driving a “One Parsons” approach across counter-UAS and C5ISR, synchronizing capabilities, teams and customer engagement to address increasingly complex mission needs.
He championed the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities to improve opportunity identification, market awareness, strategic planning and enterprise decision-making, accelerating response to emerging defense and security challenges. These efforts help position Parsons to lead at the intersection of autonomous warfare, critical infrastructure protection and next-generation mission integration, he said.
Why Watch
In 2026, Barker’s team is focused on advancing AI-enabled capabilities, emerging technologies and integrated mission solutions. He said they maintain an uncompromising focus on customers, ensuring innovation translates into measurable mission outcomes and stronger decision advantage across complex operating environments. The priority is helping customers solve harder problems faster, he said.
“I’ve spent much of my career operating in environments where speed, integration and trust directly impact mission success, and those principles continue to guide my work today,” Barker said. “I’m energized by how AI and emerging technologies can help customers make faster, better-informed decisions, but technology only matters when paired with exceptional people and a relentless focus on outcomes. Building teams that challenge assumptions, collaborate across boundaries and deliver for the mission is what motivates me most.”
Fun fact: Barker’s partner owns a women’s clothing boutique, so the retired Army brigadier general has picked up more knowledge about women’s fashion than anyone might expect. Between Army service, defense innovation and boutique life, he has collected a few unexpected skills along the way.
