John Bell is responsible for technical excellence and innovation across growth, product and service delivery, and internal research and development.

His career spans decades in advanced technology solutions supporting modeling and simulation, networking, information systems, communications and cybersecurity.

He started as a software engineer at NASA and later at the Defense Department, developing modeling and simulation software for DARPA’s Synthetic Theater of War, which laid the foundation for his work on the Navy Continuous Training Environment’s live, virtual and constructive technologies.

“John has had an impressive career in technology and defense innovation,” said Andy Green, president of HII Mission Technologies. “His leadership and contributions to the modeling and simulation community for military training and operations are remarkable.
