Kelly Loeffler, Acentra Health

The finalists for WashingtonExec’s Chief Officer Awards were announced March 28, and we’ll be highlighting some of them until the event takes place live, in-person May 10.

Next is Kelly Loeffler, executive vice president and chief growth officer at Acentra Health, and finalist in the Private and Public Chief Growth Officer (annual revenue greater than $100 million and less than $500 million) category. Here, she shares key achievements, focus areas going forward, career advice and more.

What key achievements did you have in 2023?

2023 was a whirlwind year! We brought together two companies of equal size, expanded our go to market team, rebranded CNSI and Kepro as Acentra Health and rolled that out to our clients, employees and the market. We also protected 100% of our core business contract recompetes, won new business, and developed new and improved offerings for the market.

What are your primary focus areas going forward, and why are those so important to the mission?

We will continue to focus on providing mission-critical administrative systems and clinical services that will aid our clients in accelerating better outcomes for the populations they serve (Medicaid beneficiaries, Medicare beneficiaries, veterans). In addition, we are focused on utilizing data to drive further improvements to health-related social needs, behavioral health and data interoperability.

What is your best career advice for those who want to follow in your footsteps?

Embody what values matter to you, lead by example, and always do what is right even when it is hard.

Fun Fact: What is something about you that most people do not know?

I enjoy mentoring and am able to do this by serving as an assistant girls’ varsity soccer coach and taking part in a mentorship program in my community for middle and high school girls. Both opportunities allow me to empower young women and teach them how to boost their confidence and support each other in meaningful ways.
