Unissant has promoted executive Ken Bonner to president, with the longtime health IT exec taking on the role of “co-pilot,” company officials say.

Bonner most recently served as Unissant’s executive vice president.

“I am thrilled to have a co-pilot!” said Manish Malhotra, CEO of Unissant, in a statement. “Ken’s experience and focus will help navigate Unissant forward as we embrace the next phase of our evolution.”

Bonner has spent the last 20 years of his 35-year career focused on health IT. Before joining Unissant, he was the vice president of federal health for Standard Technology, Inc., where he helped secure new business. Before that, he was the military health lead for Accenture Federal Services.

Bonner retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1997 as a captain in the Medical Services Corps after more than 17 years of experience in health care administration.

Bonner is a member of a number of professional industry organizations, such as the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the Professional Services Council, AFCEA and ACT-IAC.
