TechAmerica, the leading voice for the U.S. technology industry, has elected Maryann Hirsch, President of Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG), to its Public Sector Board of Directors. Hirsch’s term as a Director is for a period of two years.

“TechAmerica’s Public Sector Group is the leading proponent of technology solutions for government programs and serves as a liaison between the industry and federal, state and local government markets,” said Maryann Hirsch.  “I am honored to have been elected to serve on its Board of Directors and look forward to leveraging my time and expertise for the betterment of the organization and the government IT community.”

TechAmerica’s Public Sector Board is responsible for overseeing Public Sector Group activities, with a special emphasis on federal programs, and Hirsch has more than 23 years of experience in the government technology market. As President of KCG, she manages day-to-day operating activities and directs company operations, including short-term and long-range planning efforts. Prior to KCG, Hirsch held leadership positions with Federal Sources, Inc. (now Deltek) and Sysorex Information Systems, Inc.

“Having Maryann on our Public Sector board enriches the expertise we have guiding us on the issues most important to the government IT community,” said TechAmerica Senior Vice President of Global Public Sector, Trey Hodgkins.  “Ensuring that government IT is up-to-date is a critical priority and Maryann will contribute greatly to our efforts.”

Hirsch holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mary Washington University, and serves on the boards of George Mason University’s Volgenau School of Engineering and Northern Virginia Family Service.
