AT&T Taps Scott Agnew as FirstNet COO

Scott Agnew has been appointed as chief operating officer for FirstNet at AT&T, a role in which he will report to AT&T FirstNet President Jim Bugel.

Agnew brings more than 20 years of public safety experience, political engagement and insight of the public safety mission to his new role.

As COO, Agnew will oversee strategy and execution of FirstNet, including public safety-centric product innovation, collaboration with the First Responder Network Authority and more.

Currently, FirstNet is helping connect more than 24,000 public safety agencies and growing, and AT&T provides end-to-end emergency communication solutions. Agnew will also be responsible for Next Generation 9-1-1 integration and the FirstNet Response Operations Group, which helped 625,000 first responders in the field in 2022.

Prior to this COO role, Agnew held other leadership roles at AT&T spanning business development, product, mobility, wired and technical sales.
