Jim Enicks, who most recently served as a senior business development strategist for Akima, has been appointed to president of Five Rivers Services, one of Akima’s operating companies focused on Army IT solutions delivery.
As president, Enicks will oversee providing the company’s full-spectrum Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management, and training support services to the federal government. He’s also managing the Five Rivers Services headquarters relocation to Tampa Bay, Florida.
Enicks is well-experienced to do so — he has more than 30 years of experience in military communications and operations, including implementing and optimizing networks for the Defense Department. He retired from the U.S. Central Command in 2011.
Enicks later joined Akima in 2017 and is recognized for growing the company’s Army IT relationships and business to foster future growth and partnership opportunities. Before joining Akima, he was vice president of SRA International and served as assistant vice president and senior program manager at SAIC.
Akima President and CEO Bill Monet said Enicks’ experience has helped drive the company’s efforts in providing the Army with the IT solutions it needs to support its mission.
“We are confident that he will continue Five Rivers Services past success providing critical communications and technology solutions to our military customers,” Monet said.
