WashingtonExec asked the simple question to top area executives:

“If you could give your kids only three pieces of advice, what would they be?”

Today’s insight is from Adesh Jain, Vice President and General Manager of Avaya Government Solutions.

My top 3 pieces of advice to our two kids:

1. Be a lifelong learner. Continue your passion for learning as that’s the only way to excel in life and realize your personal best. Never stop learning from variety of means including personal experiences.

2. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Show respect for all and be a cheerful and kind person. People would always remember you for the experience they had with you.

3. Always work to the best of your abilities without worrying about results because results would automatically be a byproduct of your good work.
