In the news this week, a new study reveals the detrimental impact of Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procurements on government agencies and contractors and the government is now open for business!

Serco Inc. experienced a flurry of executive moves and transitions this week including new Chairman and CEO, Dan Allen. Meanwhile, MacB, Inc. hired former Special Operations Forces veteran, Peter Davis as its Director of Special Operations Programs, Bill Bodie is now Senior Vice President of Business Development at Fluor Corporation, and David Etzwiler was named CEO of the Siemens Foundation.

A string of new contracts have been awarded to Unissant and Harris Corporation this week. Unissant will provide e-commerce solutions supporting the U.S. Mint while Harris Corporation will support worldwide satellite and communication networks for the U.S. Air Force under a $65 million contract.
