With The Choral Arts Society of Washington’s Winter Gala approaching December 17th, Bill and Karen Schuiling, long-time Choral Arts supporters, held a pre-gala reception on October 26th in Alexandria, Va.

“We are not just creating music, we are creating humanity,” said Mr. Schuiling.

Mr. Schuiling welcomed guests, encouraging them to commit to a Gala table and to support past and present veterans by sponsoring concert tickets for active, wounded, and retired military and their families.

Guests, who included many Brown’s Automotive representatives, including Rachel Pullen, Vice President Sales and Sales Training, Amy Caro (Northrop Grumman) and husband TJ, and Gala co-chairs George and Ashley Wilson, were also treated to an a cappella performance by The Capital Hearings, an vocal ensemble founded by Choral Arts choristers.

Below are pictures from the event.

The Annual Holiday Gala is the Choral Arts Society’s principal fundraising and social event of the year. The 2011 Benefit raised more than $600,000 to help support Choral Arts’ annual season of concerts as well as its educational and community programs.

Gala tickets range from $675 to $1,000 per person and tables of 10 are available. Seating at the 32nd Annual Holiday Concert and Gala is limited. For more information, visit the gala webpage.
