SAVE THE DATE: Mason Entrepreneurship Research Conference, Dec. 5

The MIT Enterprise Forum of DC and the George Mason University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, School of Business, will host the Mason Entrepreneurship Research Conference (MERC), on Monday, Dec. 5, at George Mason University, Founders Hall Room 125/126, in Arlington.

The conference is focused on the D.C. area accelerator, incubator and co-working space community, and aimed at current and prospective entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship researchers and anyone involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Speakers and panel topics of discussion include:

  • How various accelerators and incubators in the DC region and nationally help entrepreneurs succeed
  • How entrepreneurs can best leverage the incubator and accelerator models
  • Lessons learned current incubator and accelerator residents and graduates

The conference will open with the keynote address by CableLabs CEO Phil McKinney, former CTO of HP and author of “Beyond the Obvious: Killer Questions That Spark Game-Changing Innovation.”

The conference will conclude with presentation by selected student teams from the Mason Innovation Lab, Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The conference is open to researchers and practitioners interested in the field of entrepreneurship from any discipline. The cost of attendance is $25 for students and $40 for non-students.
