Today, InfoZen, announced that Michael Chertoff, former Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, has joined the company’s board of directors.

Chertoff is co-founder and managing principal of the Chertoff Group, an international consulting firm that provides strategic security advice and solutions for commercial and government clients dealing with homeland and national security issues.

InfoZen’s Chairman, CEO and President Raj Ananthanpillai said, “As one of the world’s leading experts on homeland security, Michael Chertoff brings his experience and knowledge to the InfoZen board and will help us further sharpen our business strategy and focus as we work with U.S. government agencies on homeland security projects.”

As Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2009, Chertoff led the country in blocking would-be terrorists from crossing the nation’s borders and implementing plans.

Chertoff also served as a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He spent more than a decade as a federal prosecutor, investigating and prosecuting cases for political corruption.
