The American Council for Technology (ACT), the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced they will be jointly hosting the 2012 Acquisition Excellence forum. This forum will be held on March 29, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, D.C. More than 500 executives in government and industry are expected to attend.
The 2012 forum will discuss the goals of the Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO). Topics will include, federal information technology acquisition, policy, and program management issues.
Diana Gowen, Acquisition Excellence 2012 Industry Chair for ACT-IAC said, “ACT-IAC is proud to work with GSA to create a new collaborative event that will have significant value for both government and industry in the acquisition field. Today, more than ever, we need to work together to ensure that the government’s limited resources are invested wisely and efficiently. This event will provide an opportunity for us to work together toward a common vision of a more agile and efficient government.”
Kathleen Turco, GSA’s Associate Administrator for Government wide Policy and Acquisition Excellence 2012 Government Chair said, “GSA is committed to a collaborative process where government and industry work to improve the government’s acquisition and use of IT.”
