At the 2016 K-12 STEM Symposium, The Aerospace Corporation completes research with satellite systems, including systems that specifically monitor Earth.

Specialized drones can be up in the air for 10 minutes and they are able to carry 10 pounds. The Aerospace Corporation is able to put camera payloads on the drones for specific uses. While restrictions exist on the use of drones, The Aerospace Corporation is able to use them as tools just as kids learn to use them as toys.

The Annual K-12 STEM Symposium will be held March 25 2017 in Herndon, Virginia. The largest K-12 STEM Symposium in the National Capital Region is a free, all-day forum that equally engages local parents, educators and children. Sign up by visiting www.stemsymposium.com. Sponsorships are still available.
