On June 2 WashingtonExec held its annual appreciation event at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland with Council members, past speakers, and long-time supporters.
This year’s event was special as the digital magazine and events organization celebrated its 5th year in business. An evening away from the office, attendees had an opportunity to network over great food, wine and cigars on the balcony overlooking the 18th hole of the golf course.
A highlight of the evening was awarding esteemed members for their continued support and involvement over the half a decade in business. WashingtonExec presented the first Outstanding Advocate Award to Brian McHugh of ManTech International.
McHugh’s first association with WashingtonExec was as a keynote speaker for the Leadership and Intelligence Councils, in his role as Associate Executive Assistant Director for National Security of the FBI. When McHugh joined ManTech International in 2013 as their Vice President for Program Development and Risk Management, McHugh transitioned from WashingtonExec speaker to council member.
With his thought leadership on new roundtable topics, ideas and sessions, McHugh has tirelessly supported WashingtonExec. McHugh and family are also involved members of the WashingtonExec College Leadership Program, a group comprised of high school and college-aged children of govcon and federal executives who are a part of the WashingtonExec community.
