It was announced on January 4th by Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech International Corporation that it has appointed the Honorable Jose D. Riojas to the ManTech Mission Solutions and Services Group Strategic Advisory Board.
Dan Keefe, President and Chief Operating Officer at ManTech Mission Solutions and Services Group said, “We are pleased to welcome Jose to our ManTech team. He provides unique insight and contributions that complement our strategic planning and execution in the two core mission-focus areas of DoD and Veterans Affairs healthcare IT and the federal civilian Department of Homeland Security.”
From May 2009 to July 2013 Riojas served as assistant secretary for operations, security, and preparedness at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Following that appointment in July 2013 he became the chief of staff at the VA until May 2015. Prior to his time at the VA Riojas was the Vice President for strategic initiatives at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and was also the Executive Director for the Department of Homeland Security’s National Center for Border Security and Immigration as well as the Executive Director for the Center for Defense Systems Research.
