    Serco Names Tom Sorel Vice President of Surface Transportation

    It was announced on Friday, November 20th by Reston, Va.-based Serco Inc. that it has hired Tom Sorel, formerly of KLJ Engineering, as the company’s new Vice President & Program Director of Surface Transportation. Sorel will be responsible for identifying industry best practices and implementing them within Serco. He will also be bridging Serco’s transportation business practices into federal government programs.

    At KLJ Engineering Sorel served as Vice President of Twin Cities Operations. Prior to joining KLJ Sorel served as President and CEO of AAA Minneapolis. He also served as Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation from 2008-2012 and has years of experience working around the country in various roles for the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.
