Initiative Aims to Increase Efficiencies at DoD’s Largest Logistics and Combat Support Agency
Unissant, Inc., a data analytics and business solutions provider that combines agility with innovation, today announced it has been selected by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) J6 to conduct a workload efficiencies study.
Unissant will provide consulting services for a comprehensive analysis of J6’s entire workload to identify opportunities where efficiencies can be improved and make specific recommendations that will lead to service enhancements.
“Coupled with Unissant’s strong track-record of delivering on the federal government’s toughest challenges, our proven methodologies and expertise in enterprise information management make us ideally suited to conduct a cost-reduction study at DLA J6,” said Manish Malhotra, President and CEO of Unissant.
The study will also focus on operational efficiency opportunities for various non-labor categories, including hardware (enterprise, end-user), software (enterprise, desktop, mobile) and facilities, including migration of IT assets to Defense Information Services Agency (DISA).
Unissant will conduct an analysis that will include identification of “supply-side” levers (i.e. how the resources are allocated and at what cost) and “demand-side” levers (i.e. what are the workloads that are being performed and how valuable are those activities to the agency). The J6 utilization of resources will be analyzed in terms of private industry and government norms by examining benchmarks from both sectors.
