Earlier this summer the WashingtonExec Federal Business Council hosted a morning roundtable discussion with keynote speaker Matt Goodrich, Director of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
FedRAMP recently redesigned and relaunched it website in order to clarify its requirements and optimize its processes. In doing so, FedRAMP is documenting and releasing all of its standard operating procedures, hoping to make the authorization process as efficient as possible by making system mangers aware of what is expected and how the requirements will be tested. To Goodrich, quality and protection is the most important responsibility of FedRAMP and must be ensured, and will require many compliance check-ins with third party assessment organizations.
This roundtable meeting was sponsored by Carpathia, Inc., a QTS Company. Carpathia is a trusted cloud operator and leading provider of hybrid cloud services and managed hosting, providing secure, reliable and compliant IT infrastructure and management for some of the world’s most demanding enterprises and federal agencies.
