The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced April 9 that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will speak at the first event of the NVTC/CEA 2015-16 Leadership Series breakfast on May 1, 2015. Christie will discuss jobs, building a 21st century workforce and how technology and innovation can spur the nation’s economic growth.

The breakfast will be held 7 to 9:15 a.m. at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner.

“Technology and innovation, and their role in spurring the nation’s economic growth and protecting our nation’s security, will be important issues in the 2016 presidential election,” NVTC President and CEO Bobbie Kilberg said. “We’re pleased to be partnering with CEA to present this series so that technology and business leaders in our region can engage with prospective presidential candidates on these important issues. We look forward to welcoming additional Democrat and Republican candidates in the months to come.”

NVTC and CEA have extended invitations to other potential Democrat and Republican presidential candidates to address the region’s technology community as part of the Leadership Series.

The cost to attend is $75 for NVTC, PSC or CEA members; $105 for non-members; $750 for a member table of 10; and $1,050 for a non-member table of 10. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a space-available basis and will be $85 for members and $115 for non-members.
