Consulting and outsourcing company Capgemini Government Solutions LLC announced Sept. 22 the appointment of Richard Burke as Principal of Business Development.
“Richard has a demonstrated record of success at leveraging superior leadership, management and communication skills to assess complex problems, unite teams and lead them through development and execution,” CEO Doug Lane said in a statement. “His leadership will be a tremendous asset as we expand our capabilities and engagements across the federal market.”
In his new role, Burke will be in charge of the company’s business strategy and market growth regarding U.S. federal practice in homeland security and law enforcement.
Burke brings more than 20 years of government and private sector experience to the position. He previously worked as the director of strategic programs at QinetiQ North America (QNA). He has also held leadership positions at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Burke served as a judge advocate and logistician in the U.S. Marine Corps, and as a trial attorney and commercial litigator in the private sector.
