Reston-based STG, Inc. (STG) yesterday announced that it has been awarded one of several prime positions on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) contract in the Functional Category I—Unrestricted Track. Under the multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) service delivery contract, STG will provide work in the areas of integration, operations and maintenance, and software design and development over a possible 7-year period.

“STG offered the government the capabilities of a leading enterprise information technology (IT) services provider, and a best value option to DHS to support their critical enterprise IT mission needs,” said Dale Luddeke, STG’s senior vice president of strategic business growth. “STG has supported DHS for more than 12 years and we look forward to doing so in the future with this contract.”

Enterprise IT support, like the kind STG provides, is critical to DHS achieving its mission of ensuring a safe, secure and resilient homeland against terrorism and other hazards. Since missions are enterprise-wide, DHS focuses on three key concepts, including security, resilience, and customs and exchange, to drive broad areas of activity.

“This win gives STG the opportunity to continue its long-standing support of DHS’s Enterprise IT mission-critical requirements,” said Paul Fernandes, STG’s president and COO. “As an EAGLE I awardee and participant, STG is eager to pursue EAGLE II tasks to give DHS a best value option for contract work in the enterprise IT arena.”
