Sterling Global Operations (SGO) last Thursday announced it appointed Steven Hile, the former executive vice president of EnergX, as chief financial officer of the international stability operations company.

Hile, who also served as chief financial and chief operating officer of EnergX, will be at the helm of the company’s management team as the company prepares to grow its operations in Africa and the Middle East, among other parts of the world. The company most recently opened a command center in Nouakchott, Mauritania.

Hile, who resides in Tennessee, brings with him experience spanning the commercial business and government industries.

SGO President Alan Weakley, the chief operating officer, said Hile’s skills serendipitously meet the company’s needs as it expands its business.

“As we continue SGO’s successful expansion into support of the international oil and natural gas industry, extractives and mining operations, and other new lines of business, our leadership team is getting continuously stronger as well,” said Weakley. “Steven is an excellent addition to SGO. We’re delighted to have him join us.”

SGO serves U.S. and foreign governments as well as private companies with demining, unexploded munitions detection, management and disposal, logistics, risk management and communications.
