Mark A. Forman is slated to take the role as Vice President for IT Services and Cloud Initiatives at defense contractor TASC, Inc., the company announced at the close of last month.
The 29-year veteran most recently co-founded and presided over Government Transaction Services, but is tasked in his new post with shaping TASC’s solutions in the realms of cloud and mobile computing, cyber and data analytics.
TASC generates approximately $1.5 billion annually providing, among other groups, the intelligence community and defense department with advanced systems engineering, decision-support services and integration.
Bruce Phillips, senior vice president of Cyber of the company’s Cyber, SIGINT, Infrastructure and Security Sector, said he anticipates Forman’s leadership and experience will bring the company invaluable insight.
“His leadership will help support our civil-agency customers with innovation for cloud computing and for complex IT systems,” Phillips said.
Forman originally worked at TASC for four years in the late 1980s and has held senior-level roles in consulting and technology roles in addition to serving time vying for IT and acquisition policy reform within the legislative and executive branches of government.
He graduated with an economics degree from the Ohio State University and holds a public policy masters of arts from the University of Chicago.
