ARRAY Information Technology  last week announced it procured a company task order to sustain U.S. Air Force (USAF) financial systems to the Air Force Materiel Command (HQ AFMC)  headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air.

The Greenbelt, Md.-based company specializes in national security, defense, and scientific solutions and will under the agreement provide Materiel Command with a Keystone Decision Support System (KDSS) and a Command Management System (CMS).

The contract calls on ARRAY to provide  the aforementioned IT support to approximately 1,600 KDSS and CMS users.

Mark Douglas, the ARRAY Defense Client Executive, anticipates the two financial management capability systems will prove vital for the Air Force.

“Making timely, accurate and auditable financial decisions has never been more important to our Air Force,” Douglas said.

Douglas is a retired Colonel who spent more than 30 years as a Logistics Officer and Commander in the USAF.

KDSS will provide HQ AFMC a working capital funds financial data warehouse that should facilitate budget analyses, and fund forecasting and management for the Air Force Working Capital Fund, which is budgeted at $20 billion.

CMS is a financial management tool that facilitates the tabulation of resource requirements and the effective spreading of funding products and services, according to the ARRAY press statement released last week. The resource also aims to forecast  the supplementary funding, manpower and flying hours necessary to fully support war-fighters.
