The National Capital Area branch of the West Point Society today will present its seventh annual ethics and leadership conference for area eleventh grade students at the George Mason University Arlington Campus.
Themed “Living an Honorable Life” the event each year aims to provide student delegates with a system for solving and approaching ethical problems.
West Point graduates General John Campbell, the U.S. Army Vice Chief of Staff, and Lieutenant General Robert Caslen, who today serves as the military academy’s superintendent, will provide the event’s keynote speeches.
“Our keynotes have always provided captivating stories that bring reality to our attendees on why ethical leadership is so important,” the West Point Leadership & Ethics Organizing Committee wrote in statement released by the Society.
The anticipated 225 student and faculty delegate attendees will represent more than 45 area high schools. Students were required to have demonstrated leadership and have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA at their schools in order to attend.
