ARRAY Information Technology has announced that it will serve as the Platinum Sponsor of the first SharePoint Saturday The Conference event next Thursday.
The event will be held from August 11-13, at the Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia.
Along with ARRAY, the EPC Group will be participating at the event with its various presentation sessions (CN102) and focus groups (CE Presidential Dining Room) throughout the days. The EPC Group is one of the leading Microsoft SharePoint Integrators with over 12 years of experience in the industry nationwide.
Earlier this year, the two organizations formed a strategic partnership that aided in deploying, managing and optimizing Microsoft SharePoint solutions for effective enterprise collaborations for the Federal Government. The partnership has provided a way for government agencies looking to integrate into a SharePoint platform.
At this year’s event, Jay Kalath, ARRAY’s Vice President and CTO, will be speaking on “Collaboration in the Enterprise for the National Security Market,” and addressing the requirements for collaboration and how they have evolved in the past five years as a result of adoption of complex business processes. Kalath will also be discussing how to gain insights into achieving collaboration within an organization by understanding its culture and requirements. Moreover, Kalath will be looking into SharePoint and how it can be used to develop collaboration infrastructure within the National Security space. Kalath will be presenting Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13 from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Mike Miller, Practice Director for Records and Information Management, will also be at the event discussing “Developing Records Management Governance for SharePoint 2010” and answering the question “How exactly does an electronic document differ from an electronic record?” During his presentations, he will be looking at the five major decisions that companies need to make regarding records management policy in order to successful implement electronic recordkeeping using SharePoint 2010. Since this is a DC event, Miller will be emphasizing the implications of those decisions for Federal government agencies. Miller will be presenting Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 12 from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. and another session on August 12 at 9:30 a.m.
About 2,500 to 3,000 people are expected to attend. For more information on SharePoint Saturday The Conference or to simply just register, visit its website.
