MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB) is demonstrating a prototype of its Power Reaper Energy Conversion Technology (ECT) at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC), held at the Tampa Convention Center May 14-16.
About the size of a mobile phone, Power Reaper significantly decreases the number of batteries needed to deploy and operate. An operator easily connects the product to a potential power source, e.g., a standard issue CamelBak hydration pack, vehicle engine, MRE heater, etc. Utilizing Power Reaper’s patented DC to DC boost converter, batteries, handheld devices, etc. are recharged while not in use.
“Since its inception, SOF has relied on innovative engineering and technical solutions to increase the success of its incredibly difficult mission,” said Sid Fuchs, president and CEO of MacB. “Power Reaper significantly reduces the number of batteries operators will be required to carry; thereby increasing space for critical items like food, water, ammo and additional gear.”
In addition to demonstrating Power Reaper, MacB will be highlighting its partnership with the SOF community and senior executives will be discussing the company’s experience providing technology solutions to Army and Air Force Special Operations.
