    The U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Awards SAIC $23M Contract

    Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has won a $23 million prime contract by the United States Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Division to provide logistics and program management services for the Navy Corrosion Control Assistance Teams (CCAT).

    “We look forward to fulfilling the Navy’s need for technical expertise and introducing new technology onboard U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships and boats,” said SAIC Senior VP and Business Unit General Manager, JT Grumski. “At SAIC, we pride ourselves on converging the best engineering and technology consulting today to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of shipboard preservation tomorrow.”

    Under the contract, SAIC is set to provide logistics and program management services including labor, technical assistance, training, process consumables for the Navy CCAT, issue government-owned tools, and conduct training.

    The single-award cost-plus fixed-fee contract, which has a one-year base period of performance with two one-year options, will perform work primarily in Norfolk, Va., Little Creek, Va., Mayport, Fla., San Diego, Calif., Everett, Wash., and Yokuska, Japan.
