    Candy Curtin, Serco, Inc.

Earlier this morning, Serco Inc. announced four critical leadership appointments.

    The appointments are as follows:

    • Gary Shankman named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
    • Chris Sullivan named Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO)
    • Candy Curtin named Head of Human Resources
    • Jim Orndorff named Vice President of the company’s Intelligence Business Unit

As company CFO and Senior Vice President, Shankman will lead corporate finance, accounting and other administrative functions. Before joining Serco, Shankman was CFO of SAIC’s Defense Solutions Group for eight years and oversaw $5 billion in annual company revenue as well as 14,000 employees.

“We are pleased to have Gary join the Serco team and believe his vast experience in the government contracting industry will be a great asset as we continue to expand the scale of our operations in the Americas,” Ed Casey, Serco President and CEO. “His proven leadership skills and expertise in business process improvement, contract accounting and strategic planning will help us prepare our finance operations for future growth.”

“I am very excited about the opportunity Serco has to become a leading player in the government services market, and I look forward to contributing to building on their strong track record of growth and excellence service to their customers,” Shankman said.

Sullivan will head Serco’s corporate Information Technology (IT) department as well as the company’s overall IT systems strategic outlook. With 25 years of IT-related experience, Sullivan is the previous CIO of CSC’s North American Public Sector.

“We are very pleased to have someone of Chris Sullivan’s stature and experience join us as CIO and we believe he will be a great asset as we further enhance our IT infrastructure to support future expansion of our footprint in the Americas,” said Casey.

Curtin served as the Interim Head of Human Resources (HR) department for Serco, Inc. over the past year and was officially named Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources today. Curtin has been with the company for 12 years.

“This past year as Interim Head of HR, Candy made significant leadership contributions that have positively impacted our Company.  I am extremely pleased to promote such a well deserving and talented individual,” Casey said.

Orndorff will focus on the company’s advanced solutions and services for its Federal government Intelligence Community clients and will report to Harry Gatanas, Executive Vice President of the Defense and Intelligence Business Group. Orndorff is the previous Senior Vice President and CTO of SAIC’s cyber and intelligence business units.

“Jim Orndorff is another important addition to our leadership team. Support for the intelligence community has been a major growth area for Serco over the past few years, and we see significant opportunities to continue to broaden our client base given our high-level capabilities in the intelligence arena,” Casey said.

All appointments will report to Ed Casey, Serco, Inc.’s Chairman and CEO.
