The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has a new partner this year in hosting the second annual Acquisition Excellence event March 21, 2013: the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC). The event will take place at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, D.C.

Kathleen Turco, Associate Administrator for GSA’s Office of Government-wide Policy, is this year’s  government co-chair, with the Industry co-chair being former IAC Chair Jim Beaupre of JB Federal Consulting.

This year’s one-day education and training event will focus on Agile Engagement in Acquisition and Workforce Innovation and Empowerment, with collaborative discussions between government, industry and academia including: Better Outcomes at Lower Cost; Breaking Through the “No Risk” Approach to Contracting; Data Analytics for Accelerating Acquisition Planning; Bridging the Multi-Generational Acquisition Workforce; Sharing Acquisition Strategies; Strategic Approaches and Strategic Relationships in Acquisition to support Mission Delivery; and Cross-Agency Collaboration to Leverage Buying Power.

Registration will open January 2, 2013.
