SAIC has launched the Alliance for Advancing Rural Healthcare to support state implementation of the federal Rural Health Transformation Program, an effort aimed at bolstering healthcare delivery in rural and local communities.
The alliance brings together SAIC, Arcadia, Castlight Health, Covista, Mission Mobile Medical, Telemedicine.com, TruBridge and Walgreens to support states as they modernize rural healthcare systems and address persistent access, workforce and infrastructure challenges.
“The RHT Program is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for states to fundamentally strengthen rural healthcare,” said Srini Attili, SAIC executive vice president of the Civilian Business Group. “But funding alone does not deliver tangible results. We brought together the visionary AARH partners to help states move from strategy to execution, ensuring that RHT Program goals translate into measurable, sustainable improvements for rural communities.”
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Rural Health Transformation Program represents one of the largest federal investments in rural healthcare. The alliance will support states as they design and execute RHT strategies, with a focus on access to care, system modernization and workforce capacity.
The alliance will work with state governments, healthcare providers and ecosystem partners to support RHT execution nationwide. Focus areas include workforce development, hospital stabilization, health IT modernization and care delivery models that connect patients to in-person and virtual services.
Partner roles include:
- SAIC will provide AI, data management, network infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities to support coordinated delivery and protect provider systems.
- Arcadia will support provider performance across cost, quality and operations using data, analytics and benchmarks.
- Castlight Health will provide digital care navigation and advanced primary care through Vera Whole Health.
- Covista will support workforce development through education and placement in underserved communities.
- Mission Mobile Medical will expand access through mobile and community-based care delivery.
Telemedicine.com will provide telemedicine platforms, devices, remote monitoring and clinical staffing.
TruBridge will support rural hospitals with revenue cycle management, electronic health records and financial sustainability services. - Walgreens will provide community-based and virtual care access in areas facing provider shortages.
