The Defense Logistics Agency has selected Icertis Contract Intelligence to support resource management, compliance and transparency across the agency.
With a global workforce of over 24,000, DLA manages end-to-end procurement and logistics in support of the Defense Department. The agency adopted Icertis to modernize its contracting processes in response to federal digital transformation requirements.
Icertis integrates with DLA’s SAP Procurement for Public Sector system, creating a single workflow from requisition through post-award contract management across the workforce, contractor base and supplier network. With a centralized contract system, DLA expects to:
-
Reduce contract cycle times by 30-40% by removing process bottlenecks.
-
Standardize templates to cut contract errors by over 50% and reduce legal costs.
-
Achieve tens of millions of dollars in savings over five years by consolidating legacy systems and removing redundancies.
-
Produce agencywide reporting in minutes instead of weeks through automated dashboards.
As the world’s largest buyer of goods and services, the U.S. government relies on contracts to operate, and contract intelligence can help shift agreements from administrative burden to strategic asset, said Rajan Venkitachalam, Icertis corporate vice president of public sector and chief information security officer.
“Agencies like the DLA are now called to navigate enhanced scrutiny, regulatory shifts, and heightened demands,” Venkitachalam added. “Icertis is the only pure-play contract lifecycle management provider that helps federal organizations move forward with agility, empowering agencies with transparency, trust, and cost efficiency to deliver on their missions faster and smarter than ever before.”
