Aurex has been awarded a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense contract, a potential $151 billion vehicle supporting the agency’s next-generation missile defense efforts.

Known as SHIELD, the contract is designed to advance layered homeland missile defense capabilities and support the Defense Department’s Golden Dome missile defense initiative.

SHIELD is “a very important vehicle for Aurex to help support the Department of War’s Golden Dome missile defense initiative,” said Aurex CEO Warren Kohm.

Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, Aurex is a mission-focused aerospace and defense company working across hypersonic systems, missile defense, hardened networks and orbital systems. The company designs, tests and delivers platforms intended to move emerging concepts into operational use for defense, space and national security customers.

Aurex is backed by Godspeed Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on defense and government services, solutions and technology.
