Erin Regen
Regional Vice President, Chainalysis Government Solutions
Erin Regen’s biggest recent achievement has been advancing the use of cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency-adjacent data tracing to support the broader missions of the defense and intelligence communities.
While Chainalysis Government Solutions and its parent company, Chainalysis Inc., have long been successful in enabling the counter-threat finance and financial-intelligence teams, Regen and her team have expanded their reach into new offices and operators who can apply this data far beyond its traditional use cases.
By arming national-security customers with the tools, context and operational frameworks to leverage this intelligence, Regen and her team helped integrate crypto data as a critical asset in protecting U.S. national security interests.
Chainalysis Government Solutions is also actively aligning with the administration’s priorities by evaluating mechanisms to optimize its contract vehicles and reduce the overall cost of contracting with the company, while taking a firm stance on shifting toward multi-tenancy for on-premises customers to drive down total hosting and infrastructure expenses.
Additionally, the company is partnering with existing bulk-data and data-lake providers to ensure its offerings integrate seamlessly into broader government data solutions, improving efficiency and streamlining data access across agencies.
Why Watch
In the coming year, Regen and her team will be driving new applications of blockchain intelligence to support law enforcement, OSINT, red team operations and cybersecurity missions – turning emerging data sources into force multipliers for some of the nation’s most critical operators.
Her team brings a rare blend of experience, with members who have worked directly inside these mission spaces or supported them for more than two decades, enabling them to deliver the insight, speed, and operational understanding customers need to get up and running quickly.
“Erin is the driving force in Washington DC behind helping federal agencies leverage blockchain data to accomplish their missions,” said Wyn Elder, president and CEO of Chainalysis Government Solutions. “As nation states, criminal organizations and transnational groups increasingly turn to digital currencies to hide their activities, Erin is out in front helping our intelligence and defense customers understand this rapidly evolving technology and mitigate the threats to US National Security.”
Fun fact: To unwind, Regen enjoys redesigning and optimizing home spaces.
