Tameka Shepherd has joined DCS Corp. as vice president of security, where she’ll oversee the National Industrial Security Program and a security team operating across multiple sites.

Shepherd will also maintain federal regulation compliance while providing support throughout the organization.

“At the core of DCS, lies an unwavering commitment to safeguarding the Warfighter, protecting sensitive information, and advancing our national security,” said Jim Benbow, DCS chairman and CEO. “A proven leader and industry veteran, Tam is the right person to build upon the culture of excellence that drives the award-winning industrial security program at DCS.”

Shepherd is a Navy veteran and served as a facility security officer at SAIC and BAE Systems. She most recently was field office chief for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, where she led over 400 defense contracting firms, and was a senior industrial security representative at DCSA.

She has also been a contractor and civil servant; served on the boards of NCMS and the FBI Norfolk Citizens Academy; and is a founding member of the Greater Hampton Roads Chapter of Women in Defense.
