Babel Street has hired Rob Lalumondier as chief revenue officer to lead global revenue strategy, sales, channel and customer growth initiatives as the company expands across public sector, national security and commercial markets.
Lalumondier joins Babel Street from Sophos, where he was vice president overseeing the company’s North American enterprise and public sector business. He led strategic growth initiatives and strengthened customer engagement across government and large enterprise accounts.
He also held senior roles at McAfee, including executive director for federal civilian and director of national security & intelligence, where he drove adoption of cybersecurity and threat-intelligence tools across critical U.S. government missions. Earlier in his career, he was director of defense and intelligence at Intel Corp. and gained private sector operations experience with STS International Inc.
“Rob brings a rare combination of mission understanding, commercial discipline, and go-to-market leadership,” said Benji Hutchinson, CEO of Babel Street. “His experience building high-performance teams in both the public and private sectors will help accelerate our growth as customers increasingly turn to Babel Street to make sense of complex, multilingual fast-moving data.”
A former U.S. Army captain, Lalumondier graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering. He also holds an MBA in finance and strategy from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
“Babel Street is uniquely positioned at the intersection of mission and innovation,” Lalumondier said. “As global threats evolve faster and grow more complex, organizations need partners who can help them see the full picture and deliver clarity at machine speed. I’m looking forward to expanding Babel Street’s global reach and partnerships, delivering the same precision and speed that have made the company indispensable for national security missions.”
