    Randy Fields, Ultra I&C

Randy Fields’ biggest recent achievement is revitalizing Ultra I&C’s experimentation culture and leading the integration of AI-driven innovation into product development, accelerating delivery of transformative solutions to commercial and defense markets. A one-day experiment can save weeks or even months of work by uncovering critical insights earlier in the process, he said.

“Randy’s exceptional talent for innovative product development combined with his strategic approach to AI-enabled solutions has transformed our technical capabilities,” said Mladen Brkic, president of Ultra I&C’s C2IE. “His deep technical expertise, coupled with a remarkable ability to anticipate market needs, have positioned Randy as an invaluable leader driving our most ambitious initiatives forward.”

    Why Watch

In 2025, Fields’ team is focused on building scalable, interoperable systems that use AI and advanced processing to improve decision-making at the edge. They’re applying an AI-enabled approach to trusted systems to help customers achieve faster, smarter outcomes in dynamic and disconnected environments. The team is also connecting the global fielded architecture with emerging high-end capabilities to enable seamless dataflow and interoperability across domains.

Fun Fact: Fields is an avid home chef who loves experimenting with new recipes, especially anything that involves smoking meats, picking up produce from the Leesburg farmers market or crafting savory homemade breads from scratch.
