Lumen Technologies has appointed Allen Ashbey to its public sector organization as vice president of federal civilian sales.
Ashbey reports to Jason Schulman, Lumen’s national vice president of federal sales, who reports to Josh Finke, Lumen’s senior vice president of public sector.
“Allen is a recognized advocate in the market for engaging government and industry in a collaborative environment to enhance federal agencies’ mission outcomes through technology,” Schulman said. “His passion and commitment are evident in his over-a-decade of activity in industry and government organizations, and we’re excited to have him join Lumen.”
Prior to joining Lumen Technologies, Ashbey was vice president of accounts for citizen services and natural resources with SAIC, where he was responsible for program delivery, growth strategy, client relationships and profit and loss. He joined SAIC as part of the Unisys federal acquisition, where he led civilian health and administrative agencies.
Before that, Ashbey served as vice president of business development at OnPoint Consulting, a subsidiary of Sapient Government Services, where he led the GWAC center, proposal and capture efforts.
Ashbey brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the federal contracting and communications industries, including roles with Level 3, XO Communications and MCI.
