“Kris’ deep understanding of the technology landscape and track record in scaling revenue, leading high-performance teams, and customer engagement make him the ideal person to guide our sales function forward and drive growth for Riverbed’s Observability and Acceleration solutions.”
In this role, Luhrsen will drive Riverbed’s growth and sales strategy, overseeing global sales, channel and alliances, renewals and customer success, consulting architects, professional services, and sales operations.
“I’m excited to join Riverbed to serve as CRO at a time when there’s significant market momentum around Riverbed’s AI-Powered Platform and industry-leading solutions,” Luhrsen said. “I look forward to supporting the thousands of customers who rely on Riverbed every day to optimize digital experiences, improve IT operations and drive measurable results.”
Luhrsen brings decades of experience leading sales organizations, delivering on sales execution and growth agendas, along with expertise in building processes that enhance predictability, consistency and productivity within organizations.
Prior to joining Riverbed, Luhrsen served as the chief revenue officer at Venafi, a cybersecurity firm acquired by CyberArk. His previous roles include serving as president of North America sales at open-source infrastructure software company SUSE, and senior sales leadership positions at VMware and Cisco.
Luhrsen’s appointment follows the recent launch of the Riverbed Platform, and announcement of several new data observability and AIOps solutions.
