AMERICAN SYSTEMS won a prime contractor spot on the FBI’s blanket purchase agreement to provide IT supplies and support services to the FBI and other Department of Justice components.

Under task orders issued through the potential 8-year, $8 billion BPA, the agency will purchase a range of IT products and services, standardize how it buys them and forecast the purchases. The BPA has one initial base year and up to seven individual option years.

“We are thrilled to have won the opportunity to continue our long-standing support of the Bureau,” said AMERICAN SYSTEMS President and CEO John Steckel. “We know how vital their mission is for the safety and security of our nation, and we’re proud to play a small role in that mission — we know what’s at stake.”

Under the task orders, contractors will provide technical support services and qualified personnel to help the government manage and implement projects and programs.

The BPA was awarded to 31 large businesses, including AMERICAN SYSTEMS, in the full-and-open category, and to 64 small businesses in the set-aside group. The period of performance begins June 21.
