Axient, along with 11 other companies, was awarded the NASA Johnson Space Center Research, Engineering & Mission Integration Services-2 contract to support the work of the International Space Station Program.

The contract calls for spaceflight, ground hardware and software, sustaining engineering functions and services, payload facility integration, and research mission integration operations services.

The $478 million, 7-year contract is multiple-award, indefinite quantity with firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders.

“Axient is honored to continue the mission and support of the International Space Station, the embodiment of the spirit of exploration for Americans and people across the globe,” said Dan Benjamin, senior vice president of Axient’s space segment. “For nearly three decades, the ISS has pushed the boundaries of our understanding and inspired future generations to realize a boundless future. As a part of that legacy, Axient will uphold our unwavering commitment to mission success.”

For 25 years, Axient has partnered with NASA in delivering mission assurance services, program success and engineering expertise on highly complex flight systems, end-to-end ground systems and space facility safety throughout the entire space system lifecycle.
