Jeana Plews
Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, CACI
During the two decades Jeana Plews has dedicated to CACI, she has witnessed numerous transformations within the organization. Yet, amid these changes, the bedrock principles of ethics, integrity and character, upon which CACI was originally established, have remained unwavering. This foundation has paved the way for Plews to grow the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.
Plews has focused on powering the DEI strategy with intentionality, action and commitment. CACI’s three strategic pillars are to promote an inclusive culture, attract diverse talent, and establish partnerships to advance science, technology, engineering and mathematics education to give back to CACI’s communities.
In the past year, Plews and her team expanded CACI’s employee resource groups by adding two new groups: Accessibility, Support, and Community for Employees with Neurodivergence and Disabilities; and Young Professionals Network. This brings the total number of ERGs at CACI to seven. The ERGs are a vital driving force that connect CACI’s people across the organization, creating a sense of belonging for employees to feel valued, seen, heard and to amplify their voices though allies who connect and build a strong sense of community.
“DEI isn’t a sprint; it is a marathon,” she said. “We are continuously refining and evolving our process and initiatives to best meet the needs of our employees. DEI takes perseverance and patience to make impactful changes that inspire belonging and empower potential, innovation, and growth.”
Why Watch
In 2024, Plews and her team will continue to build and strengthen CACI’s DEI strategy through CACI’s Inclusion Framework, which further equips leaders and teams with inclusive behaviors and skills to create meaningful connections, navigate differences through curiosity, empathy and perspective.
“Jeana is a driving force propelling CACI to greater heights in the realm of DEI,” said Angie Combs, CACI executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “Her dedication to creating an environment where employees from all backgrounds, identities, and talents can come together in pursuit of a common goal is a true embodiment of CACI’s values of ethics and integrity.”
